The Lion program introduces new scouts to the program by weaving traditional Scouting concepts of character development, leadership skills, personal fitness and citizenship into activities that are age-appropriate and fun for the boys and their parents.
Grades 1 - 5
Cub Scouting is a year-round, family-oriented program designed for boys. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the overall aims of scouting which are to develop a boy’s character, train him in good citizenship, and encourage him to become more fit—physically, mentally, and morally.

The BSA's goal is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs.
